Phone usage is billed per minute for both inbound and outbound calls. Additional fractions of a cent apply if you enable call recording. Charges are deducted from your prepaid wallet.

    Who this article is for

This article is for sales managers and account owners.

    Overview

GEVADE CRM includes a built-in softphone and dialer system. Making and receiving calls through the platform incurs per-minute carrier charges. This guide explains how those minutes are billed. Because we utilize enterprise-grade telecom infrastructure, you get crystal-clear call quality and the ability to route calls globally, but this requires a usage-based billing model. You only pay for the exact minutes you talk.

    Before you begin

    • Review your wallet balance before launching a large outbound calling campaign.
    • Check the per-minute rates for the specific countries you are calling.
    • Decide if call recording is legally permissible and necessary for your business.

    Step 1: Per-Minute Billing

All calls are billed by the minute. If a call lasts 1 minute and 5 seconds, you are typically billed for 2 minutes. The rate depends on whether the call is inbound or outbound, and the destination country. Outbound calls are generally slightly more expensive than inbound calls.

    Step 2: Number Rental

In addition to per-minute usage, you pay a small monthly rental fee for each dedicated phone number you provision in the system (e.g., $1-$3/month depending on the region). This is deducted automatically from your wallet.

    Step 3: Call Recording

If you enable the 'Call Recording' feature for quality assurance, an additional small per-minute fee is applied to cover the processing and storage of the audio file. This is billed alongside the standard per-minute call rate.

    Step 4: Toll-Free vs Local

Be aware that rates differ between local numbers and Toll-Free numbers. Toll-Free numbers often have slightly higher per-minute rates. Choose the number type that best fits your business model.

    Configuration note

Using the mobile app to make calls still routes the call through the GEVADE CRM telephony system, meaning standard per-minute wallet charges apply. It does not use your personal cell phone carrier minutes.

    Important clarification

Setting up complex call-forwarding rules (e.g., forwarding a GEVADE number to your personal cell phone) means you are billed for two legs of the call: the inbound call to GEVADE, and the outbound forwarded call to your cell.

    Resolution guidance

I was charged for a call that went to voicemail

Carrier billing begins as soon as the call connects. If the call connects to a voicemail system, it is considered a connected call and per-minute billing applies.
