    Summary

You can send attachments (like images or PDFs) by clicking the paperclip icon in the reply box. Received attachments will appear directly within the conversation thread where you can click to view or download them.

    Who this article is for

All users managing customer communications in the GEVADE CRM Conversations inbox.

    Overview

Sharing documents, images, or contracts is often necessary during customer interactions. The Conversations inbox supports sending and receiving attachments via email and, where supported, MMS (multimedia messaging service).

Step 1: 1. Sending an Attachment

Open the conversation thread and select the Email or SMS tab. Click the paperclip icon (Attach File) located near the text formatting tools or the send button. Select the file from your computer.

Step 2: 2. Viewing Received Attachments

When a customer sends an attachment, it will appear as a clickable file thumbnail or link directly within their message in the chronological thread.

    Step 3: 3. Downloading Attachments

Click on the received attachment thumbnail or link to open it or download it to your device.

    Configuration note

File size limits apply. Large files may bounce if sent via email, and MMS has strict file size limitations depending on the carrier. It is often better to send a link to a hosted file (e.g., Google Drive) for very large documents. Support for certain attachment types may vary depending on your account configuration.

    Important clarification

Trying to send a PDF via standard SMS. You must use Email, or ensure your phone number configuration supports MMS for image files, where available in your account.

    Resolution guidance

    Attachment failed to send

Check the file size. Ensure it is under the typical 10MB-20MB limit for emails. If sending via text, ensure your number supports MMS and the file is a supported image format.
